My Summer Dinning Room Project!

We have been in our house almost a year and a half, and during this time we have been using hand me down dining room furniture. It has never been my style and I have tried and tried to make it my own, but I finally got permission from the husband to finally design my perfect dining room!

My design style is eclectic. I love to combine modern colors and streamline design with vintage pieces all the while giving pieces a whole new role in a room than they were originally designed. I also am such a bargain hunter so this entire room is almost completely used pieces I made my own! Check it out!

I found this dining room table on Craigslist in pine. I sanded and stained it to make it this amazing walnut color. I found the wood chairs at a garage sale. I also found the plates at a garage sale and added the numbers. The pizza paddle is a thrift store find. Lastly, the upholstered chairs were a gift from my mother-in-law!

I found this amazing black sign at an antique store, I made the cafe sign from materials around my house, and the bench was a thrift store find in which I reupholstered the seat in burlap!

This is my favorite part of the room! I stained this side table and painted the tool box white, and both items were from garage sales. The green chair and large basket were also garage sale finds. The shelves are from an old pallet my dad picked up for me at his work. We cut and and turned it into 3 amazing rustic shelves that I just love!

The vintage ladder and stool were both garage sale finds, and we made this chalkboard. I wrote some of my favorite bible verses on it to make it personal. The books and bottles were both thrift store finds.

This cabinet was left to me from my late grandmother. We painted it black a couple years ago. I put all white and glass dishes on the shelves to to go with my color scheme.
